The world of work is changing faster than ever, and in response to this transformation, KMCT Group of Institutions, in association with TiE Kerala, brought together the brightest minds from industry and academia for KMCT Converge 2025, an industry-academia conclave held at the Mini Auditorium of KMCT Dental College, Calicut.
The event served as a vibrant platform where industry met academia, focusing on the theme “Shaping the Future of Work.” Bringing together leaders from Fortune 500 companies, reputed academicians, entrepreneurs, and innovators, the conclave aimed to explore the evolving dynamics of the workforce, emerging technologies, and employability in a rapidly changing global landscape.
Honourable Minister for Industries, Law, and Coir, Shri P. Rajeeve, officially inaugurated the event virtually.
Dr. Navas K.M., Chairman of KMCT Group of Institutions, delivered the welcome address, followed by the presidential address by Dr. K. Moidu, Founder Chairman of KMCT Group. The event was graced by Dr. N. Sandhyarani, Dean of Research and Consultancy, NIT Calicut, as the Chief Guest. Distinguished guests included Mr. A.P. Abdullakkutty, President of the Calicut Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Mr. Narayanan Ramaswamy, Partner and National Head - Education and Skills Development, KPMG India and Mr. Roshan R., author of “Ratan Tata: Oru Indian Vijayagatha,” who attended as Guests of Honour.
Dr. Ranjith C., Principal of KMCT College of Technology and Management, and Mr. Shameem P.C., Co-convener of KMCT Converge 2025, also addressed the gathering, emphasizing KMCT’s commitment to promoting collaboration between the academic and industrial sectors.
The event featured a series of thought-provoking sessions, including panel discussions, a fireside chat, a round-table discussion, and a masterclass for select students. The panel discussions spanned a wide range of topics, from innovation and technology to leadership and industry readiness.
The annual magazine of KMCT Group of Institutions, “Kaleidoverse”, was also released during the inauguration ceremony, with Dr. Sujith Varma, Editor-in-Chief, handing over the first copy to Dr. Navas K.M.
KMCT Converge 2025 aimed to bridge the gap between academics and industry, giving students useful insights, inspiration, and a clear idea of what it means to be truly ready for the professional world. The event also strengthened KMCT’s goal of developing future-ready professionals and making North Kerala a growing center for innovation, technology, and sustainable development.
