KMCT Converge Future Tech Summit 2026 Inaugurated by Chief Minister V.D. Satheesan

Kuttippuram: The future belongs to Artificial Intelligence, and the technology is expected to evolve beyond human intelligence in the coming years, said Honourable Chief Minister of Kerala, Shri V.D. Satheesan, while inaugurating the KMCT Converge Future Tech Summit 2026 at the KMCT Kuttippuram Campus.

Addressing the gathering, the Chief Minister said that rapid advancements in Artificial Intelligence and emerging technologies are transforming the way the world works, making it essential for educational institutions and industries to work together in preparing a future-ready workforce. He noted that the Government of Kerala is giving special importance to AI and other advanced technologies by promoting industry collaboration and introducing academic programmes aligned with future workforce requirements. He also appreciated institutions like KMCT for taking the lead in creating an innovation-driven learning ecosystem that contributes to the state’s development.

The Chief Minister also stated that the government’s vision is to create better employment opportunities within Kerala by promoting academic programmes that remain relevant to the future workforce, so that students can study in Kerala, build successful careers, and no longer need to move abroad for higher studies or employment.

The inaugural session was presided over by Shri P.K. Kunhalikutty, Minister for Industries, IT, Artificial Intelligence, Future Technologies and Startups.

Organised with the objective of strengthening academia-industry collaboration and enhancing student employability, the summit brought together more than 50 eminent experts from across the country to discuss the latest developments in Artificial Intelligence, future technologies, innovation, and industry trends.

The event was attended by various MLAs along with industry leaders and several dignitaries and public representatives.

During the programme, Dr. K. Moidu, Founder Chairman of KMCT Group, presented the institution’s Vision 2031 document to the Chief Minister. The vision outlines KMCT’s roadmap for growth in education, research, emerging technologies, healthcare, silver economy, entrepreneurship and employment over the coming years.

In his welcome address, Dr. Navas K.M., Chairman of KMCT Group, said that the institution aims to equip students with future-ready skills, enhance employability, and foster innovation through quality education and strong industry partnerships. The vote of thanks was delivered by Mr. Nadeer Abdul Salam, CEO, Higher Education, KMCT Group.
