KMCT Institute of Emerging Technology and Management, a leading emerging technology campus in Calicut, has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with IBM Q2D to offer students specialised training in emerging technologies and industry relevant skills.
The collaboration aims to give students better exposure to technologies that are increasingly shaping today’s job market. Through the partnership, students will receive training in areas such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning, Cybersecurity, Data Science, Blockchain, Cloud Computing, the Internet of Things (IoT), Entrepreneurship and Innovation.
For students, the value of such initiatives goes beyond classroom learning. As industries continue to evolve, employers are placing greater emphasis on practical skills and hands on knowledge. By introducing focused training in these areas, the institution hopes to help students build stronger technical foundations and improve their readiness for future career opportunities.
Speaking about the initiative, the institution highlighted that partnerships with industry organisations help bridge the gap between academic learning and professional expectations. Exposure to emerging technologies and current industry practices can provide students with a clearer understanding of real world applications and workplace demands.
The partnership reflects KMCT IETM’s continued focus on creating learning opportunities that prepare students for changing technology landscapes while supporting their academic and professional growth.
